Please ensure names are in all dancewear. Hair must be tied back for all classes and jewellery must be removed.
The following uniforms are recommended by the RAD and required for examinations. HSoB runs an optional 'pass it on' system for leotards, character skirts and character shoes, that are still in good condition, with proceeds going to 'Children in Need'.
Character skirts, with own choice of ribbons, and Grade 6, 7 & 8 chiffon skirts are made to order by HSoB.
Unfortunately it is no longer viable for HSoB to supply the full range of dancewear but our remaining stock will be listed on the notice board for purchase. An alternative source is 'The World of Dance' in the Victoria Quarter or from an internet retailer such as Dance Direct or Dancegear Direct.
Dancewear
Pre-Primary and Primary: Pale pink cotton/lycra short-sleeved leotard (Freed 'Chloe' style); pale pink georgette wrap over skirt; pale pink short ballet socks or pale pink ballet tights; pink satin soft ballet shoes with elastic. (please note that the skirt is the new RAD recommended uniform but pupils may still wear the pink polka dot skirt until they grow out of it)
Grades 1 and 2: Lavender cotton/lycra sleeveless leotard with waist elastic (Freed 'Aimee' style); pale pink short ballet socks or pale pink ballet tights; pink satin soft ballet shoes with elastic; character skirt; character shoes.
Grades 3 and 4: Mulberry cotton/lycra sleeveless ruched leotard with waist elastic (Freed 'Faith' style); pale pink short ballet socks or pale pink ballet tights; pink satin soft ballet shoes with ribbons; character skirt; character shoes.
Grade 5: Navy blue cotton/lycra sleeveless ruched leotard with waist elastic (Freed 'Faith' style); pale pink ballet tights; pink satin soft ballet shoes with ribbons; character skirt; character shoes.
Grades 6, 7 and 8: Choice of leotard colour and style with a long chiffon skirt; split-soled shoes with elastics, character skirt; character shoes.
Boys Ballet (All Classes): White T-shirt; navy blue tracksuit bottoms / shorts; white short socks; black leather ballet shoes.
